Mach1 Motorsport – Kartschmie.de on top course in Wackersdorf

Strong performance at the start of the ADAC Kart Masters

For Mach1 Motorsport – Kartschmie.de, big things were imminent again last weekend. In Wackersdorf, Bavaria, the German kart manufacturer’s racing team started at the season opener of the ADAC Kart Masters and had their hands full. With three protégés, the team at Prokart Raceland focused on the shifter kart class and faced a number of challenges in the field of top-class drivers. In the end, Linus Hensen and Gianni Andrisani made it into the hard-fought top ten and thus made a remarkable showing.

The racing marathon for Mach1 Motorsport and Kartschmie.de went into the next round last weekend. After the successful start of the new season of the German Kart Championship at the end of April, the first event of the national ADAC Kart Masters was now on the
Agenda of the motorsport ensemble. The event in Wackersdorf already caused excitement in advance. More than 50 actors submitted their entries in the KZ2 category. Some of the well-known guest pilots, who had already fought for top positions at European and World Championship level, were also part of the party. The level of events was correspondingly high.

With Gianni Andrisani and Linus Hensen, Mach1 Motorsport, together with its partner Kartschmie.de, sent a strong duo on the road in the premier class. Gianni qualified as a strong seventh and was ahead of a large number of pilots at the start of the event
far greater racing experience. Over the course of the entire race weekend, the youngster remained true to his strong performance from there and convinced across the board. In the races, Gianni crossed the finish line in eleventh and tenth place and finally achieved a complete success.

Linus also had a good start to the top-class race weekend with ninth place in qualifying. He also proved his skills in every session on the track and was right up there with the front runners. In the first race Linus was still in 13th place, but in the second run Linus improved his performance even more and finished ninth, one place ahead of his teammate.

As third in the group, Maximilian Schreyer represented the Mach1 Motorsport colors. The shifter kart rookie gained further important racing experience on the 1,197 meter long circuit and steadily reduced the gap to the peloton. Unfortunately, after a failure in the second heat, Maximilian missed the deserved place in the rankings.

Although unfortunately it wasn’t enough to place in the cup this weekend, team manager Frank Hansen was very satisfied in the evening: “These were very intense days here in Wackersdorf. The competition in the shifter kart class definitely didn’t make it easy for us. The level of driving was enormous and every mistake, no matter how small, was immediately punished on the track. Linus and Gianni delivered an impressive performance and presented themselves as equals. In the classification without guest drivers, we were even able to place fourth and fifth with them – a great starting position for the remainder of the season.”

The next race is waiting for Mach1 Motorsport – Kartschmie.de in just under two weeks. Then the German Kart Championship will be in Genk, Belgium, for the second race of the season.
